About Us

Pamela and Simon have owned and work Brittanys for the last 7 years. We also belong to The Brittany Club of Great Britain”. People say HPR’s cannot retrieve, That is certainly not true of the Brittany’s I know.! This Breed of dog will hunt all day and more if you want to. They have great nose's too. I work both our Brittanys together when I am out shooting. They also sit well in a hide waiting for the evening duck flight to arrive. They are also fantastic pets and have a good temperament. We have puppy from our last litter, who is now starting her basic training. In France, the French Brittany has been bred for over 100 years as a gun dog genetically programmed to hunt every kind of upland gamebird in the field or woods, as well as ducks and geese on land and in water.  The breed is French in origin and more precisely from the central region of Brittany. The Brittany is a gentle, hardy and even-tempered breed a perfect pet for an active family. It is a myth that a gun dog ‘must’ be kept in a kennel to maintain his hunting instinct. Many gun dogs, including the Brittany, are happiest curled up by the master's chair or playing ball in the yard with the children. Their history is one of close-working partnership with man, a partnership that reaches its peak on the hunt but is equally valuable in the family.
